- About Me
- I have had the good fortune of living all over the world, and traveling to many more places. (I still have to see Australia, New Zealand and Central Asia.) In my travels I got to see the places as a tourist, a local, and a warrior, all having profound effects on my view of the areas and cultures. I have seen people flourish and some fail but the one thing that I have really learned is that "WE" (humans) are generally good of heart and wish to do well in this world.

Yea ... I'm enjoying this site too. Not a big fan of 'social networking' online. A social networking site for technies, cool. Old idea made new again, similiar to the days of irc (internet rely chat) and bbs.

Ok, thanks. I'm trying to get a general idea of what people find interesting and useful
about this site. I suppose that subject could be a thread unto itself for a post, if it hasn't
been one already .

Primarily, I find the discussion groups most helpful. I do enjoy the occasional banter but I’m more interested in some of the technical issues such as sources for learning different languages (HTML and Linux) or suggestions on technical matters. I feel like the potential is there for using this forum to actually job seek or find people with needed skills. I suspect that our company will consider some of the contact that my boss and I have made when we hire in the near future. I have also found several people with skill that I will definitely tap when the need arises for some flash work.
