Well, I came across an "interesting" issue concerning the model GX620.

So. it is simple, your PC doesn't have a DVD player, you got an external DVD player and an OS or an Image on a DVD and you want to boot from the external DVD.

You push F12 at the Dell screen to pick the device you want to boot with, "USB device" doesn't show up but you can select  "Onboard or External CD-ROM". But unfortunatly nothing is booting.

What is wrong ? What need to be done ?

It recognizes an USB Flashdrive, with bootsector mod and ms dos, but not a USB DVD-ROM player. I guess the GX620 is alreadt old and busted, I thought it could maybe by the version of Bios...
