I saw this lady at a Tech Net event in Atlanta and I thought she gave a good presentation on packet analysis and tools. She has a free CD/DVD ($10 for shipping) that has demos of the tools packet traces and instructional information. I get a new one every time that she updates it. I think it is well worth the effort. If you get into hacking or network troubleshooting get one. It is called Laura’s Lab Kit. http://www.packet-level.com/ Thanks

How does it compare with Wireshark, in your opinion?  (Nice to see another Cisco person around, BTW!!!)

Wireshark is great. I have not found many things that I could not do with it. Her kit has demos of other products that you might want to compare.   Her articles and labs can be a big help if you are new to packet Analysis. She has samples of traffic so that you can see what some attacks or network issues would look like with out trying to create them yourself. One lab in particular dealt with authentication types and what the handshake looks like. It’s worth 10$.
