Test King gives you practice tests that very nearly match the actual test.

Safari books online has books and videos on massive amounts of tech info. I use this site myself for studying and training. But I'm not sure they offer a video on A+.

If you have any experience, the test is actually quite easy to pass. The testking practice tests helped, I have to admit, even though I had several years experience in the field before I went for my test.

There are also podcasts out there on tech subjects, some of them in video format. I haven't been able to find an online MCSE class, so I'm guessing an online A+ class might be hard to locate too. I think this is because the industry can make several thousand dollars from you by making you come to a boot camp to get the information and get tested. Though I know quite a few people who just read books and/or used testking to get through this stuff. I did the bootcamp thing for A+/Network+. It was fun and unbelievably easy. If my company hadn't been paying for it, I wouldn't have been able to do it, and I wouldn't recommend it to others based solely on cost. I think it's worth it, though, going bootcamp for a harder cert.

I'd recommend trying the Safari online books ten day trial. They send you emails reminding you to cancel your subscription if you only want the free trial. It's a legit training site. Good luck.

Yeah.. well testking.com costs money, it cost almost the amount it costs to take an actual A+ exam test. I recently got the mike meyers A+ cert book and its like 2000 pages, I have a short attention span and would rather just do it then read. Kenetic learning. What I am doing to try to get this cert is take free practice exams online and see what areas I need work on, like currently i need to learn more about network printers, laser printers, and memorizing IRQ ports.

There are alot of free resources to study for the A+ exam, i heard once you purchase your ticket voucher to take the test they give you access to practice exams.. can anyone confirm this? Once you have this cert, you have it for life also , is that correct? A person does not have to re-certify every 5 years or so?

Any good links to recent free A+ or Net+ practice exams would be deeply appricated.. thanks! =)

Are you looking for classes that are 100% free?  If not, have you looked at local tech colleges and etc.  A lot of the time they will have sessions for cert. prep....and a lot of the time they are less expensive than stuff you find online.  Some tech schools do not offer specific prep courses, but if you look at individual classes in IT programs you will see that this or that class will prep you for this or that certification.

For example, there is a tech college near me that, within it's network security program has one class that will prep you for the network + test.  The class is part of a program, however, you can take it as an individual class.  And the class was around $300.00...plus you get an instructor and hands on experience as well.
